Job Description:
1. Independently perform final inspection of finished vehicles, focusing on attributes such as interior finish, exterior paint quality, general workmanship, and a functions check. Make decision of vehicle acceptance to customer requirements at the conclusion of this work.
2. Review documentation associated with the vehicle build for accuracy and completeness.
3. Scan documentation and organize it in an electronic project folder for delivery to the customer.
4. Review final inspection findings with production associates to verify understanding. Verify resolutions once complete and update final inspection records. Escalate critical findings to management for resolution.
5. Support other areas of the vehicle process as needed including cleaning/wipe down of vehicle.
6. Support other inspection activities including receiving inspection using calipers, micrometers, and height gages as time permits.
Qualifications:
1. Ability to work independently with limited direction from management
2. Superior attention to detail
3. Associates degree in engineering or related field; 3 years of experience with inspection of complex fabricated parts, electronic and electromechanical systems; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
5. Basic computer skills including MS Windows and Office
6. Ability to use measurement hand tools such as micrometers and calipers and set-up equipment to perform inspection.
7. Quality inspection experience working with technical drawings and QA procedures.
8. U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances.
