Quality Engineering Tester

TEKsystems is currently seeking a QA Test Engineer for a long term project in Tulsa, OK.

Description:

The Quality Engineering Tester is primarily responsible for functional testing of software products as well as ancillary applications. Testers execute test cases following test plans and procedures developed for software product releases. The Quality Engineering Tester will also assist with administrative duties such as facilitating meetings, report creation, issue tracking and test case/user story maintenance.

Your primary responsibility at this level may include any or all of the following:

• Assisting project teams in developing and documenting user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Participating in scrum ceremonies to understand user stories contributing to a high-quality user experience.
• Planning, developing, and documenting new test cases or updating regression tests based on provided user stories.
• Maintaining traceability between tests and associated user stories.
• Executing test cases for new functionality and regression on banking and financial software products across various environments and platforms, including mobile devices (iPhone/iPad, Android) and web browsers (Safari, Chrome, Edge).
• Scripting and executing API service endpoint validation.
• Querying databases using SQL to perform data validations, conduct services testing and triage defects.
• Troubleshooting, documenting, and effectively communicating issues/defects with specific information to facilitate incident replication for line of business and development partners.
• Performing routine updates in incident and test case tracking systems like Jira and Zephyr Scale.
• Assisting in maintaining up-to-date test procedures, cases, schedules, reports, and environments for the QE lead.

Required:

Proficient in multiple Windows, Mac and mobile device operating systems

Basic knowledge of MS SQL

Able to execute test cases using API services endpoints

Basic knowledge of Jira and Confluence
