About the Team:

the Quality Engineering Technician will oversee the daily activity of supplier quality assurance and be a liaison role across all EVBox departments, developing pro-active quality involvement in hardware and software deviations maintained in the Quality system; including reliability testing for the organization's products and/or development processes.

About the role:

  • Audits supplier processes and systems to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery;
  •  Identifies support needed to implement appropriate quality standards and parameters for products with involvement of supplier product management;
  • Communicates Quality topics to internal QA teams, product development team, and other appropriate staff and providing accurate feedback to the suppliers accordingly;
  • Coordinates process audits in alignment with the Global QA assessment manager;
  • Identifies and analyzes issues, defects, and other problems, particularly recurring problems in multiple products; recommending and facilitating solutions to the issues accordingly
  • Secures supplies and parts for the assembly line, reviewing engineering and manufacturing specifications, monitoring materials for any defects, and resolving quality issues;
  • Performs other Quality duties as assigned.

About you

Education requirements:

An associate degree in mechanical engineering, Quality Engineering or equivalent experience.

Experience requirements:

5+ years of experience in Quality related roles in manufacturing;

Knowledge of Quality methodic principles and practices;

1-3 years of experience with Supplier assessments;

0-2 years technical experience with quality inspections and tools;

Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Suite;

Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Physical requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Travel requirements:

Ability to travel 5% - 10%

Skills required:

Ability to adapt/respond to different situations;

Excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication skills and teamwork;

Interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills;

Pragmatic approach and analytical thinker;

Great attention to detail;

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines;

Experience with Excel and other reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau;

Fluency in English is mandatory.
