As a Quality Engineer focused on In-Process Validation (IPV) you will provide general support to the Clayton, NC Operations team.
Specifically in this role you can expect to:
- Work with suppliers regarding defective material
- Help drive to root cause for defects and ensure corrective actions are in place
- Follow up and close Quality Alerts for defective material
- Provide line support for various tests
- Machine/system troubleshooting (electrical, electronic, hydraulic, communications, etc.)
- Work closely with engineering to prepare factory systems for current product and NPI (new product introduction)
A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:
- Problem So lv ing: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Knowledge of the concepts, principles and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA); ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences.
- Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies : Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
Top Candidates for this position may also have:
- Hands on experience troubleshooting complex electrical systems and/or components, including reading electrical schematics
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related technical field
- Hands on experience working on and troubleshooting other complex machine systems (hydraulic, engine, powertrain)
- Experience with Small Wheel Loader (SWL) Bill of Material configurations
- Manufacturing experience
- Experience documenting standard work
- Validation of out of process work confirming safety and quality exceed expectation
- In Process Validation (IPV) and/or test experience
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and react to changing priorities
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees
