Job Description
Sputtering Components, Inc. is in search of a Quality Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, analyzing, interpreting, and implementing a wide range of quality processes to ensure that the highest standards are met in our production processes. Our ideal candidate has a degree in Quality Assurance, Technology, or Engineering and a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a quality-related position.
Your key responsibilities and duties for this role will include:
• Developing and implementing quality control systems, performing root cause analysis, and creating reports.
• Collaborating with other departments such as sales, manufacturing, and engineering to ensure product quality.
• Analyzing and improving current practices to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Analyzing customer feedback and soliciting input from customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to craft solutions for product defects.
• Developing and maintaining documentation such as quality control plans, test plans, reports, and processes.
• Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance, supplier quality control systems, and production processes to determine product conformance.
• Developing and implementing methods for inspecting products and components to verify quality and minimize waste.
• Establishing, monitoring, and evaluating performance metrics including customer feedback, rejection rates, and quality scores.
Successful candidates will bring the necessary skills and qualifications to the position. This includes:
• At least 5 years of relevant experience working in a quality-focused role.
• Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Technology, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
• Knowledgeable in manufacturing techniques and processes, including Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Thorough understanding of inspection and quality control regulations.
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office programs, and other relevant queries and data analysis tools.
Pay Range: $76,000 to $88,000 per year
