Job Title: Quality Engineer - Manufacturing

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products through the development and implementation of quality control processes. Your primary responsibility will be to drive continuous improvement in product quality, identify and address defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control:
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to identify and rectify defects.
Process Improvement:
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
  • Analyze data and trends to proactively address potential quality issues and prevent defects.
Root Cause Analysis:
  • Investigate and determine the root causes of quality issues and work closely with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive records of quality inspections, test results, and other relevant data.
  • Generate regular reports on quality performance, highlighting areas for improvement and showcasing achievements.
Supplier Collaboration:
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials, conduct supplier audits, and drive continuous improvement in supplier quality.
Quality Assurance Standards:
  • Stay abreast of industry quality standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure the organization's compliance and competitiveness.
Training and Development:
  • Provide training to production personnel on quality control procedures and standards.
  • Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Familiarity with relevant quality assurance frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
Preferred Skills:
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and quality management software.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
