Quality Engineer

The position is based in Tampa, FL.

In this role you will:

• Perform functional, automated, and regression testing from low level test environments through release to Production, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Authoring detailed test cases that provide high coverage and enforce traceability back to the user story.
• Isolate, replicate, and report defects, then verify fixes within JIRA. Ensure all corrective actions are assigned, documented, and completed.
• Recommend improvements to existing standards and procedures.
• Maintain and improve the existing test automation framework that supports Web, API, and Mobile product testing.
• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts.
• Ability to solve problems more efficiently.
• Ability to do PR reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Self-motivator to bring up the QE process to the next level with limited guidance.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 2+ years of Quality/Automation Engineering experience.
• Hands on experience in UI automation and API automation.
• NodeJS, Typescript or similar scripting programming knowledge.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman or similar.
• Familiarity with JIRA or equivalent bug tracking software.
• Experience with Confluence or similar document management system.
• Experience working with source control (such as GIT) and build management systems (such as Jenkins)
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a desire to be challenged and learn new skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Preferred: Experience in Performance testing using JMeter will be an added advantage.
• Preferred: Retail Industry experience.
