Job Summary and Qualifications

Under general supervision, and according to general policies and procedures, Quality Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring the core measure process. This position is responsible for facilitating to completion and sustainment PI projects, small working groups, and projects to improve the quality of care and value for our patients. These projects and working groups are interdisciplinary in nature. The Quality Coordinator identifies opportunities for improvement based on evidence based practices, regulatory and accrediting agency requirements, and monitoring of high risk, high volume and/or problem prone processes. This position maintains multiple databases and dashboards, as well as analyzes complex patient care data for reporting out at leadership levels. Analysis will also incorporate clinical and operational processes and outcomes. Partnership with Riverside departments and management is essential to achieve overall quality goals 

What qualifications you will need:

 A. Licensure/ Certification/ Registration: Minimum job criteria including educational requirements, licensure, registration, certification and equivalencies, and work experience. All education and degrees must be from an accredited institution. 

B. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare and clinical experience required. 

C. Experience: Minimum 3 years current experience in quality, risk management or related clinical experience within the acute care hospitals setting required.

Riverside Community Hospital is a large acute care facility with 517 beds, established in 1901. It has the most extensive Emergency Room and Level I Trauma Center in the Inland Empire region and is the primary recipient of STEMI (heart attack) cases in Riverside County. The hospital is accredited as a Chest Pain Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center and has a HeartCare Institute that offers both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
