OBJECTIVE: Monitors on-going Quality Control activities and processes to ensure adherence to standards and established procedures. Provides support to Quality Control Specialist in the various Quality-related activities.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Performs shipping audits on products.

· Works with Quality Control Specialist to resolve Quality Control issues and problems that have evolved from current procedures.

· Prepares shipping documentation packages per customer requirements.

· Closes job travelers in the MRP system.

· Assists with data collection for Quality department.

· Creates and maintains various Quality reports and metrics.

· Assists Shipping and Receiving personnel as required.

· Assists in creation of new part numbers in MRP system.

· Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • No supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Certificates, licenses and registrations preferred (but not required): none

· Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite

· Other skills required:

o 1 to 2 years Inspection and Quality Assurance experience.

o Must have knowledge of scrap rate reduction programs.

o Must have the ability to communicate and maintain working relationships with Inspectors, customers, management, and suppliers.

o Must have the ability to prepare and present reports.
