What a Blackeagle Quality Assurance/Control Coordinator can expect to do:
- The Quality Assurance/Control Coordinator would be responsible for inspecting parts of ASME pressure vessels, process piping, structural skids, and assembled units per multiple codes, designs, and client specifications per drawings. Administrative duties would include tracking documentation and filing hard copies along with digital records per client and Blackeagle specifications.

Role’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain and control project files as well as nonconformance, calibration, help creating and control of welding procedures per ASME, API, AWS, and parts of NACE.
- Will be required to perform fit up checks, weld acceptance, NDE acceptance, hydro-testing, material identification, paint/coating inspection, and final shipping inspections. All inspections shall be documented either by a live document or digitally.
- Required to complete and sign off on travelers, weld maps, Inspection Test Plan (I.T.P), and review NDE 3rd party inspection.
- Willing to coordinate and inform client inspections along with 3rd party NDE testing.
- Required to communicate with all other departments and staff to manage the implementation and /or continuance of safe work practices, quality issues, areas of improvements and weakness in all products or departments. This requires professional written & verbal communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Required to do final shipment walk through’s, ensuring that the product is 100% complete without having any defects per drawings and specifications.
- Shall have the willingness to be flexible with job duties, tasks, and working with Engineering/Project management for project completion.
- Read and interpret blueprints, product data sheets, client specifications.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Must be proficient in using the following software programs: Microsoft Windows Operating System, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Bluebeam.
- Ability to maintain a good working relationship with all coworkers and clients.
- Able to perform algebraic calculations utilizing a hand calculator or Excel manipulation.
- Client interaction may be limited, but it is important to become familiar with client business needs to better serve them.
- College/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally expected for specified technical roles.
- Previous shop welding experience preferred but not required.
- 3-5 years of Pipe welding and fitting experience a plus.
- Strong communication and organization skills required.
- CWI qualification preferred. But not required.
- Can work independently/self-starter.
Minimum Physical Requirements:
- Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy, and hazardous areas.
- Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.
Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
- Work in all types of weather.
- Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
- Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
COMPENSATION RANGE
- $28 – 34.00/hour DOE
The expected compensation range is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based on factors such as education, experience, and other qualifications.
