Quality Control Technician

PNB has a QC Technician position available at our Tumwater, Washington plant. This position is responsible ensuring product quality standards by executing various tests, monitoring lines, and operating manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.

Primary Job Accountabilities:

• Operate all manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently to include line monitoring, removing, or shifting materials and/or finished product as necessary to facilitate proper flow and machine operation
• Performs routine tests to ensure resulting mixture meets specified properties and consistencies, periodic sampling of product as it is bottled/ canned
• Perform and record tests and use special equipment to ensure package and product quality, fill levels, labeling, freshness dating and container quality
• Responsible for weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients to standards
• Exercise good housekeeping practices by cleaning equipment and area, during and after shift to include deep cleaning and sanitizing blending/filling equipment and production lines.

• Expedite quality concerns to line; working with maintenance as necessary
• Keep daily records tests performed and results
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety programs

JobEligibility Criteria:

• High School diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must exercise excellent communication skills and be highly detailed and organized
• Must be able to work in a high-speed manufacturing environment team-oriented, deadline driven, high performance demands, and fast paced.
• Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) including, wearing proper protective equipment, practicing personal hygiene, or obeying safety practices.
• Must be able to prepare documentation detailing work, building process flows, etc. Must be able to read and use standards of operations, understand, and use process, procedures, or workflow documentation.
• Must work with industrial chemicals, using chemicals in a safe way, ensuring everything is properly labeled following MSDS, reading and interpreting labels or selection and mixing correct chemicals.
• Must be able to lift/carry 50- lbs. frequently for 8-12 hours a day
• Must be able to stand constantly for 8-12 working hours
• Must be able to perform frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting
• Must be able to perform occasional reaching over the shoulder, waist level, and from the floor
• Must be able to perform frequent grasping
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test

Pay: $24.00 - $32.34 per hour
