Quality Control Technician (Sand And Gravel)

Schedule: Full time, overtime available

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collecting and preparing samples for analysis (samples will weigh between 30 to 75 pounds).
• Performing routine testing of aggregate samples (quartering samples, running sieve analysis on samples, plasticity index, sand equivalency, etc.)
• Entering data into the sample database, submitting results
• Calibrating lab equipment, performing routine housekeeping of lab
• Interacting and communicating with internal and external customers
• Performing moderately complex testing procedures that must be followed precisely
• Visual recognition of Quality Control problems in materials 
• Maintaining testing equipment
• Performing all other projects and duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

This is a hands-on position requiring one to be on their feet most of the day and actively processing multiple samples at once.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of product and industry standards preferred
• Knowledge of various laboratory equipment preferred
• Detail-oriented and Self-motivated
• Excellent driving record
• Must be able to pass a drug screen
• Must be able to show proof of age over 18
• Must be able to prove identity and right to work in the US
• Ability to follow all company, MSHA, DOT, OSHA, and MiOSHA safety rules
