We are seeking a Quality Control/ Electrical Test Technicianin our Price, UT facility.
Position Summary: Perform Electrical Tests and inspect products using quality methods such as ISO 9000 or Six Sigma Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.
Experience and Skills:
Essential functions and main duties are in Testing & Quality
1. Conducts testing on all equipment/product; ensures quality standards are met in accordance with applicable ISO/Six Sigma standards and signs off on end of project QA forms
2. Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics
3. Interpret and work from technical assembly prints to wire and install electrical components, switch gears, electrical switches and electronic instruments and devices, such as programmable process controllers (PLCs), data loggers, relays, breakers and other electronic instrumentation equipment used in the manufacture and repair of electrical power stations and equipment to determine quality and reliability standards are met.
4. Performs testing on all transformers, power centers, repaired equipment, any other equipment that requires testing
5. Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures
6. Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards
7. Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability
8. Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics
9. Works directly with customers in final testing of equipment
10. When not testing this role may be required to flex to another internal department for support
11. Must have the ability to flex into the electrical team or final assembly team when testing isn’t required
