Quality Control Technician
Manufacturing, Quality Control
1 permanent, non-exempt, regular full-time position, located on-site in Logan, UT.

Our manufacturing team works diligently to ensure that we acquire and produce the key goods and services needed to successfully meet our client and project needs. This team works closely with the rest of our organization to help other teams achieve their goals. We constantly work toward securing the right materials, resources, and services to ensure we maintain fully functioning manufacturing capacity, while implementing strategies to meet changing organizational needs. We are looking for a Quality Control Technician to join our team and support our company now and into the future.

What You’ll Work On
A Quality Control Technician assists/supports the quality engineer by providing production expertise to resolve quality issues within production operations. They will ensure that the product meets customer requirements both internal and external at each stage of its manufacturing process and where necessary take corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues. The quality technician uses data to solve production issues, recommend improvements and work with others to find solutions. Other duties may include building quality documents, managing and performing audits, and evaluating quality costs.
You'll Support Your Team by Performing the Following Key Tasks
  • Create and maintain a strong culture in accordance with the Campbell Scientific's core ARCTIC values-- Accountability, Respect, Client-Centric, Teamwork, Innovation, Continuous Improvement.
  • Verifying the quality and performance of the products being manufactured in addition to troubleshooting of any existing errors or defects.
  • Help build and maintain quality documentation through SOP, processes, procedures, and other documentation.
  • Participate in teams to help make necessary improvements and changes to all process related quality issues in the production department.
  • Understand the underlying customer complaint issues and develop successful fixes, changes in practices where necessary to ensure that standards are maintained.
  • Work closely with manufacturing staff to ensure quality protocols are followed and documentation is correctly maintained and implement any new changes or adaptations based on quality review.
  • Manage and perform internal ISO and Process Audit.
  • Manage and maintain corrective actions.
  • Assist disposition process by being involved in failure analysis and suggesting corrective actions as Material Review Board member.
  • Provide failure analysis reports of customer and internal quality issues.
  • Report on the number of internal audits performed and their results.
  • Report on open corrective actions and days outstanding.
  • Report on customer Failures on Arrival and actions taken to correct them.
What We're Looking For
  • Required Education and Experience
  • Technical degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing field.
  • Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to think logically and methodically.
  • Able to focus on eliminating process variation by creating, revising, and implementing defined processes, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Read and understand mechanical drawing.
  • Use and understand the readings from standard measurement tools like calipers and Digital Multimeters.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Able to communicate technical details appropriately to various groups in the organization.
  • Prioritize assignments and planning.
  • Preferred: ASQ accreditation as a CQT.

Work Environment
Work in manufacturing environments mostly indoors but not limited to working off site with suppliers and in outdoor environments.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds over short distances as needed. Sitting for extended periods of time, bending, twisting, and other movement consistent with office environments.
