Purpose:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will report into the Manager of Quality Assurance and play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout our manufacturing processes. The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products to guarantee they meet our company's quality standards. Responsibilities:
Product Inspection:
- Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Use various testing equipment and tools to perform measurements, visual inspections, and functional tests.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Accurately document inspection results, test data, and any deviations from quality standards.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing inspection findings and communicate results to relevant stakeholders.
Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and address quality issues promptly.
- Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Calibration and Maintenance:
- Ensure that inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained to guarantee accurate and reliable measurements.
- Perform routine maintenance on testing equipment and report any malfunctions for timely resolution.
Compliance and Standards:
- Stay updated on industry regulations and quality standards to ensure our products adhere to all applicable requirements.
- Assist in the development and updating of Quality Control procedures and protocols.
Training and Support:
- Provide training to production personnel on Quality Control processes and standards.
- Offer support and guidance to teams to foster a culture of quality consciousness.
Qualifications / Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in Quality Control is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of Quality Control processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Familiarity with industry-specific quality standards and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficient in using measurement tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of U.S. or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
