Key Responsibilities:
- Support the established Quality policy
- Fulfills role as required in the documented quality system manual, directives and work instructions.
- Select products for tests at specified stages in production process, and test products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical or chemical characteristics per required standards.
- Set up and perform destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts or products to measure performance, life and/or material characteristics per required standards.
- Assure 100% compliance to all standards including but not limited to ASTM, NSF, UL, etc.
- Record test data, applying statistical Quality Control procedures.
- Evaluate data and complete reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Raise concerns to management when quality concerns arise.
- Support operators in finding solutions to quality problems.
- Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
- Prepare graphs or charts of data and/or enter data into computer for analysis.
- Operate lift truck as required. .
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow safety policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school education with some Technical education preferred; and/or minimum of 2 years prior QC experience
- Working knowledge of MS Outlook and Office (Word/Excel)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must have the ability to work overtime when needed
- Must have an eye for detail to ensure accuracy
- Must have demonstrated good levels of performance in current position.
- Must display a positive and professional demeanor.
Technical Skills:
- Data gathering and analysis
- Applied Mathematics
- Gages and Measuring Instrument Operation
- ASTM and GFS Test Methods
Physical Requirements:
- Walking – frequently 4-5 hrs
- Standing – 2 hrs
- Climbing – occasionally
- Squatting/Stooping – Rarely
- Reaching – occasionally
- Lifting - up to 40# frequently
- Lifting – 50# to 75# with assisted apparatus (overhead crane/forklift)
