Refrigeration Design Technologies (RDT), is a commercial refrigeration manufacturer based in Waxahachie, Texas. RDT is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician. You will be successful in this position if you get, want, and have the capacity to do the following duties:
· Test and inspect condensing units and evaporator coils for each refrigeration system before it leaves our warehouse.
· Test and inspect sub-assemblies (i.e., controller wiring & programing, piping sub-assemblies, electrical sub-assemblies, condenser fan sub-assemblies, etc.)
· Take pictures and complete all documentation required for our Quality Assurance files.
· Maintain high standards of quality, reliability, and safety.
· Read blueprints, engineering drawings, or technical drawings.
· Participate in cross functional teams to improve products and processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· 2+ years of experience in the refrigeration equipment industry.
· High school diploma or GED equivalent.
· Aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Possess good judgement.
· Ability to make sound decisions.
· Knowledgeable of safety, quality, and productivity processes.
· Strong decision-making and leadership skills.
· Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
· Understands safety protocol.
· Use MS office products such as Outlook, Excel, and Access.
· Ability to lift to 50lbs, crouch, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
