Quality Control Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Specialist to join our growing DO&CO Family in our New York unit.

Responsibilities:  

• Perform inspections on inbound and outbound materials.
• Place any non-conforming materials on QA hold. 
• Ensure the cleanliness of food contact materials (silverware, trollies, trays, etc). 
• Coordinate with washroom team to ensure equipment is clean.
• Enforce good manufacturing practices (GMPs) within the production facility.
• Supports pest control management and completes pest control audits.
• Assists in monitoring and makes recommendations for improvement for the facilities cleaning schedule. 
• Maintains records for facility hygiene.

Qualifications:

• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Self-motivated, professional work ethic & service-oriented and a hands-on approach.

• Flexibility (different shifts - early morning, evening, weekends, holidays).
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1 - 2 years of experience. preferably in a hospitality, food production environment, catering establishment within floor monitoring, food safety and quality parameters.
• Good computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook).
• Knowledge of HACCP, ISO, and food safety systems.
• Food Safety Certification, state specific if applicable.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
