This role is part of the COO Operations & Technology Transformation team. The COO organization is leading the most critical regulatory & transformation efforts for Citi's CEO, influencing the strategy & direction of Citigroup.
As an Operations and TechnologyQuality Control Specialist, the role will execute the Quality Control process by assessing the attributes of risk identification, risk mitigation, root cause analysis, controls design, controls implementation, and controls testing for the technology and operations regulatory commitments.
Excellent communication skills required to influence a wide range of users. Strong Technology Risk Management experience and expertise is required. Prior experience in 2nd or 3rd Lines of defense in the Technology Risk Management or Technology Audit are highly desired for this 1st Line of Defense role.
In-depth knowledge of the industry and peer institutions products/services is highly preferred to contribute to the objectives of the functions. The role requires a thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the larger COO organization, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct the Quality Control of the regulatory commitment deliveries aimed to remediate the Consent Order.
- Remain aligned with the remediation efforts of the technology commitments and escalate any risks or issues to the Quality Control Lead.
- Conduct thorough assessment of technology risks and controls aligned with the remediation of regulatory commitments.
- Maintains the SharePoint site for the O&T Transformation Quality Control Team and ensures compliance with the standards and procedures on documentation and tracking.
- Expertise in Technology Risks and Controls and works with colleagues in other areas of Risk Management, Data, Business and Functions and Compliance/Audit to assure appropriate management of identified risks.
- Identifies emerging risk themes across the Technology Plan design and execution.
- Develops processes for data gathering/consuming and sharing emerging threats.
- Partner with Business Functions and TechnologyQuality Control teams to perform Design Effectiveness Assessments throughout the lifecycle of the Regulatory Commitments.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in a complex, financial organization, with particular focus on Technology Development, and/or Risk & Control and/or Operational Risk Management and/or Technology Audit
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices, risks, and controls
- Risk & Control experience in business Operations and/or technology programs of a financial organization strongly preferred.
- Experience in complex business transformational programs
- Familiarity with Technology Risk Management process including identification, assessment, reporting and monitoring of Risk.
- Understanding of Quality Control or audit process and best practices for review of large transformational or technology programs
- Proven ability to act independently, work quickly and with careful attention to detail, juggle multiple priorities and thrive in a varied, fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, drive consensus, and influence relationships at senior levels.
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
- Certifications like CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM, GIAC, CCSP etc. are highly preferred.
