Title: Quality Control Manager
Location: Eglin AFB, FL
Status: Full Time
Position Summary:
Midnight Sun Global Services CCE JV is seeking a Quality Control Manager at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. The Quality Control Manager is responsible for providing, implementing, and administering a Quality Control and assurance program to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project plans and specifications as well as the standards and methods specified in the project Quality Control Plan.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Implements and administers Quality Control Plan based on client approved Quality Control Plan.
- Performs daily inspections and/or direct inspectors to provide daily inspections ensuring compliance with delivery order requirements.
- Prepares material submittals and Material Delivery Verification Forms which certify that ordered material/equipment is in compliance with the drawings and specifications.
- Prepares Daily Quality Control Report that summarizes quality operations.
- Attends Pre-Construction meetings with subcontractors to promote understanding of Quality Control Plan, applicable specification sections and expected quality level.
- Maintains on-site records of:
- Quality control operations, activities, tests, and inspections performed including the work of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Drawing records and records of materials used.
- Factory tests and manufacturers' certifications.
- Coordinates third party testing agents as outlined in the Quality Control plan.
- Prepares, implements, and manages the Quality Control Plan based on client-approved Quality Control Plan.
- Develops and implements methods and procedures to assess cost and responsibility for unacceptable material and supplies.
- Exercises stop work authority as needed.
- Monitors all job site operations for compliance with contract requirements in noise and dust control, non-interruption of APS activities, and utility shutdown procedures.
- Prepares and submit accurate, detailed, written daily reports for the project.
- Ensures compliance with Company Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) guidelines and procedures along with all local requirements (OSHA, USACE EM385.1.1, etc.).
Minimum Requirements:
- 6+ years' experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor, with a minimum of 2 years in a Quality Control responsible role.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field highly desired.
- Experience working on multiple projects of approximately $5 million in annual volume or more.
- Extensive knowledge of building codes and general engineering principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, to include clear, concise, and professional presentation of information.
- Must demonstrate a strong ability to:
- Adapt and be flexible to frequent changes in a fast-paced work environment.
- Collaborate and work effectively in a team environment with people of various backgrounds and styles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, to include clear, concise, and professional presentation of information.
- Adapt to the constantly evolving world of technology, design, means and methods, systems may include but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite, ProCore, and Adobe.
- Previous formal safety and Quality Control training certifications highly desired.
Work Environment:
- Performance of the required job duties will be in an office environment along with visits to sites that are under construction, which may include various weather conditions.
- Responsible for driving between project sites that are often miles apart or miles from the assigned office location.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
