Quality Control Manager Responsibilities:

• Supervision of QC Personnel
• Prioritizing of incoming work in order to maintain production delivery schedule
• Identify training requirements for QC Personnel
• Ensure Gage Calibration System is implemented and effective
• Prepare annual department budget and equipment review
• Maintain effective implementation of quality management system procedures and work instructions applicable to the Quality Control Department, as defined by Client’s QMS
• Member of the Internal Auditing Team
• Drive internal corrective/preventive action system relating to product and process nonconformances
• Work together with engineering, production and quality management to ensure product meets customer and Client’s quality expectations
• Follow up internally on customer complaints, product returns and corrective action requirements
• Interact with Purchasing and Quality Assurance Manager in the assessment and approval of vendors
• Keep accurate time and process records via ERP system.
• Demonstrate practical knowledge of Good Machining Practices (GMP)
• Maintain and provide support to all 5-S program initiatives.
• Ensure compliance to workplace policies according to safety objectives and procedures.

Quality Control Manager Requirements

• College degree in engineering or management discipline
• Minimum Education requirements omitted with 5+ years’ experience in managing an ISO certified Quality Control department
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in managing an ISO certified Quality Control department
• Solid knowledge, interpretation and experience with GD&T requirements
• Competency in the use of various M&TE (Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, Comparators, CMM)

Quality Control Manager Preferred Skills:

• Working knowledge of ISO9000 and/or AS9100 quality standards and implementation
• Working Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5-2009 standard and implementation
• CMM Programming experience – OpenDMIS preferred
• Internal Auditing experience
