Job Description
Quality Control Manager Responsibilities:
- Supervision of QC Personnel
- Prioritizing of incoming work in order to maintain production delivery schedule
- Identify training requirements for QC Personnel
- Ensure Gage Calibration System is implemented and effective
- Prepare annual department budget and equipment review
- Maintain effective implementation of quality management system procedures and work instructions applicable to the Quality Control Department, as defined by Client’s QMS
- Member of the Internal Auditing Team
- Drive internal corrective/preventive action system relating to product and process nonconformances
- Work together with engineering, production and quality management to ensure product meets customer and Client’s quality expectations
- Follow up internally on customer complaints, product returns and corrective action requirements
- Interact with Purchasing and Quality Assurance Manager in the assessment and approval of vendors
- Keep accurate time and process records via ERP system.
- Demonstrate practical knowledge of Good Machining Practices (GMP)
- Maintain and provide support to all 5-S program initiatives.
- Ensure compliance to workplace policies according to safety objectives and procedures.
Quality Control Manager Requirements
- College degree in engineering or management discipline
- Minimum Education requirements omitted with 5+ years’ experience in managing an ISO certified Quality Control department
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in managing an ISO certified Quality Control department
- Solid knowledge, interpretation and experience with GD&T requirements
- Competency in the use of various M&TE (Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, Comparators, CMM)
Quality Control Manager Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of ISO9000 and/or AS9100 quality standards and implementation
- Working Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5-2009 standard and implementation
- CMM Programming experience – OpenDMIS preferred
- Internal Auditing experience
