The Accounting Advisory Services Group at DLA, LLC provides strategic accounting and financial reporting solutions to finance leaders facing various challenges in their businesses and finance functions.We are seeking a Managing Director focused on Quality Control to join our team to ensure the highest level of accuracy and integrity of our work products.This individual will work closely with the Advisory team to implement Quality Control processes and procedures, conduct quality reviews of work products prior to presenting to clients and assist in dealing with complex technical accounting matters.
Our Accounting Advisory Services include:
- Drafting financial statement and related disclosures (including 10-K and 10-Q's)
- IPO readiness - SOX 404 and accounting matters pertaining to an IPO
- Hot Topics - Revenue Recognition, leases, consolidation and other new pronouncements
- Internal controls/Policies and procedures
- Technical Accounting Matters/Complex accounting issues
- Audit Preparation and assistance with external auditors
- Improving accounting department function
- Staff augmentation/Interim CFO and Controller roles
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure Quality Control in all project deliverables, including financial statements, disclosures, and audit preparations
- Implement Quality Control processes and procedures
- Conduct reviews of work products prior to presenting to clients
- Assist in dealing with complex accounting matters
- Assist in developing training for the Advisory Group
- Ensure Advisory Group is kept updated on new accounting pronouncements
- Develop database of technical research
Knowledge & Skills:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting
- CPA
- Minimum of 10 years related experience in public accounting and/or industry accounting, with a concentration in life sciences, healthcare, biotech, retail and manufacturing
- Professional services experience required
- Experience producing and delivering communications to the executive level
- Project management experience
- Strong technical skills and strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience summarizing results and producing management reports
- Strong computer proficiency, specifically with MS Office
- Effective analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Entrepreneurial nature, self-motivated, ethical and dependable
- High energy with commitment to quality client service
