Quality Control Inspector - 2Nd Shift

Position Description Summary: Our Quality Assurance team seeks a Quality Control Inspector to conduct in-process inspections and document the results. Other duties revolve around shop floor documentation accuracy and maintenance. The successful candidate will have a creative, innovative approach to his/her work and offer frank observations and recommendations. We’re looking for a highly organized, methodical individual with experience in a fast-paced metal fabrication environment.

Principal Accountabilities: (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):

• Inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity
• Perform in-process inspections at all work stations to ensure compliance with part specifications
• Ensure all employees complete FAI (First Article Inspection) of parts
• Effectively communicate quality issues with Shift Lead, Dept. Supervisor, and QA Team
• Visually ensure that product is accurately tagged
• Assist with other duties and projects as assigned
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulations
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required for Position:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge and proven Quality Control work experience in a manufacturing environment, metal fabrication required
• Effective time management skills required
• Strong organization skills required
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret mechanical drawings
• Proficient in using calipers, protractor and reading a tape measure
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a hot/cold warehouse environment
