The QC Analyst in Viral Vector is responsible for performing Cell Biology, Biochemistry, PCR and Immunology assays in support of the production, release, distribution, and stability monitoring of Viral Vector Products in a dynamic CDMO while working in a team based environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform Viral Vector, product release and stability testing in support of the site contract manufacturing business according to Standard Operating Procedures and Test Methods in compliance with cGMP/GLP utilizing proper aseptic techniques (where applicable).
- Participate in QC testing of clinical and grade product according to cGMPs. Perform cell-mediated bioassays, including infectious and physical titer, Western blot, ELISA.
- Prepare samples and maintain appropriate records for submission of samples to contract testing laboratories.
- Perform general lab support activities such as housekeeping, equipment maintenance, inventory/ordering of supplies; Maintain compliance with all required training and GLP.
- May participate with QC and QA to resolve Laboratory related quality investigations / records / SSFs, as required.
Key requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Science related field required
- Experienced knowledge working in scientific laboratory
- Experienced knowledge working in cGMP environment
- Demonstrated knowledge in biological, cell based assays
- Should possess knowledge of how to execute methods/procedures and operate equipment
- Should perform tasks with strict adherence to cGMP and cGDP principles
- Cell culture experience - both manual and automated
- Able to identify breach of cGMP principles
- Demonstrated understanding of routine laboratory testing and principles behind methodology
- Proficient in the use of spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software
- Exercises judgment based on practice and precedence
- Able to prioritize work with input from supervisor. Makes good use of time
- Works together with supervisor to identify timelines for assigned tasks
- Communicates verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
- Records test results and maintains raw data and accurate laboratory records. Able to identify documentation errors routinely via self-check
- Demonstrated understanding and consideration of others. Supportive of others' attempts at improvement
- Able to work with minimal supervision on routine tasks. Completes assignments on-time
- Is willing to turn ideas into action - to make things happen. Does not procrastinate
- Is optimistic and displays a positive attitude even during periods of adversity. Has a 'can-do' attitude and is solution focused
