Our Engine Control Systems (ECS) business unit in Rome, NY is currently seeking a Quality Compliance Manager. This role requires overseeing the execution of Quality Compliance plans and leading a team of 12-15 experienced professionals and managing compliance.

The main responsibilities for the Quality Compliance Manager include setting objectives, providing guidance to the team, and ensuring the achievement of short-term Quality Compliance goals. Additionally, the Quality Compliance Manager will manage the implementation of improvements in Quality Compliance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages implementation and maintenance of procedures and metrics that support compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

  • Provides guidance on, and explanations of, policies, government regulations, and agency guidelines to ensure compliance with external standards.

  • Manages processes, standards, and plans for the implementation of minimum standards and utilization of tools and methods to ensure effectiveness of existing quality processes and sustain quality performance improvements.

  • Manages Quality Compliance audit processes, providing guidance and input to auditors at all stages.

  • Oversees reviews of procedures and metrics that impact quality to ensure compliance with internal standards.

  • Performs product and process audits and quality audits and reviews.

  • Reviews quality data and determines if all products and processes are aligned with regulatory standards.

  • Recommends corrective actions and process re-engineering.

  • Prepares and maintains Quality documentation.

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace experience preferred.

  • Knowledge or experience with PFMEA (process failure mode effect analysis).

  • Experience or knowledge of SPC (statistical process controls).

  • Experience generating quality plans, and control plans.

  • Experience with root cause analysis.

  • Knowledge or experience with AS9100.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
