We currently have openings for Quality Control technicians who are responsible for conducting in-process checks on the manufacturing floor as well as office duties such as creation of documents, auditing batch records and other Quality Assurance duties as needed. The QA Tech will also perform sanitation verification’s using instruments such a Luminometer to assure quality and safety of products intended for consumers.
**REQUIREMENTS - Please do not apply if you do not have experience with quality control, preferably in a food manufacturing environment. **
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts basic laboratory activities following Standard Operating Procedures
- Assures that quality standard are met
- Documents activities following cGMP rules
- Conduct basic laboratory activities including, for example: analyzing raw materials, in-process materials, and finished l products for quality, safety, purity, strength, and identity using applicable methods or manufacturing drug product, following the CGMP and other relevant guidelines, FDA and other governing bodies
- Set up and operate lab equipment
- Prepare reagents, solvents, and solutions for analytical and formulation activities
- Prepare and maintain accurate records in lab notebooks of all testing performed
- Proficiency in computer systems requirements, validations, role and training assignments
- Enforce limited access restrictions of secured controlled documents in the electronic and physical document locations
- Displays good interpersonal skills
- Is self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Is consistently at work and on time and commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals
- Conduct visual inspections of CBD products for organic and inorganic adulterants and defects.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language and have general skills to satisfactorily complete job requirement
- One year manufacturing experience preferred.
- Detail Oriented
- Coachable and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to focus and avoid distractions.
- Comfortable operating digital scales
- Basic computer knowledge
- Basic math and reading comprehension.
- Organizational skills
- Must be authorized to work in the US
ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Due to the nature of our business, it is advocated that when representing Outpost Brands that our professionalism meets the needs of the client base that we respectively serve. An individual must be able to provide a level of communication that aligns respectively with the diversification of our clients to assess certain situations and apply meaningful service. In addition, must be able to quickly identify and insert additional support where needed to deescalate quality situations without compromising Outpost Brand’s objective in serving our client base with excellent customer service.
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
