Midwestern Pet Foods, Inc. is a manufacturer of pet food in Waverly, NY. We are a family-owned company that has been manufacturing quality products for almost 100 years. Current opening is on 2nd Shift - hours are Monday through Friday 3pm to 11:30pm.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the manufacturing industry and have a passion for improving quality. The goal is to increase our QA efficiency and decrease our costs while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
1. Have a thorough understanding of and properly operate/maintain all equipment in the lab/s.
2. Perform testing of incoming ingredients to assure they meet specified quality and food safety standards. Communicating when standards are not met.
3. Testing of finished products to assure they meet specified quality and food safety standards. Communicating when standards are not met.
4. Monitoring the manufacturing processes to assure all steps in the processes are meeting specified quality and food safety standards. Communicating when standards are not met.
5. Complete and distribute reports as required. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, EXCEL).
6. Work in the most effective/efficient manner at all times. Maintain work areas clean, neat, and orderly.
7. Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs. for sampling purposes.
8. Follow established plant safety rules.
9. Follow established rules of conduct.
10. Work overtime as required.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
