Role Purpose Statement
As a Quality Assurance Supervisor at LSG Sky Chefs, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our culinary products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You will oversee the implementation and maintenance of Quality Assurance programs, manage a team of quality inspectors, and collaborate with various departments to uphold our commitment to excellence.
Main Accountabilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve Quality Assurance procedures and protocols to uphold food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of production processes, facilities, and products to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Supervise and provide guidance to a team of quality inspectors, ensuring proper training, performance evaluation, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the Quality Assurance team.
- Stay informed about relevant food safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies and participate in audits and inspections to maintain certifications and regulatory approvals.
- Maintain accurate records of Quality Assurance activities, including audit findings, corrective actions, and compliance documentation.
- Generate regular reports and metrics to monitor key quality indicators, track performance trends, and communicate findings to management and stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., HACCP, SQF, ISO) preferred.
- In addition, one to three years of related work experience required
- Problem solving and leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results & achieve productivity goals
- Working knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA and EPA regulations
- Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills required along with the ability to multi-task
