Quality Assurance Specialist I

Nikkiso Cryoquip is a leading manufacturer of heat exchangers, liquefiers, and vaporizers for the LNG and industrial gases industry. Applications include fueling stations, marine engines, peak shaving, power generation, virtual pipelines, and well stimulation.

Summary

Quality Assurance specialists shall be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and proposing measures to correct or improve final products and processes. Prepare and implement Quality Assurance policies and procedures and perform routine inspections and quality tests as necessary. Identify and resolve workflow and production issues and ensure that standards and safety regulations at the company are observed. Address and discuss issues and proposed solutions with superiors and document activities creating audit reports.

Quality Assurace specialists also elaborate on the sampling and guidelines procedures for collecting and reporting quality data and oversee implementation to ensure inspection efficiency. They analyze customer grievances and other non-compliance issues and make their recommendations based on their findings. They ensure the company continues to comply with industry regulatory and quality requirements, analyze audit outcomes, carry out appropriate corrective procedures, and oversee risk management procedures.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor all internal/external quality related inspection activities.
• Prepare and present inspection findings both internally and externally.
• Plan, execute, and oversee Marine class product inspection and testing for quality and conformance to specifications and deliverables.
• Identify gaps in efficient process workflow and suggest steps for internal quality process improvement.

• Collect, prepare, and analyze quality data process improvement.

• Support in-process and final inspections as needed.
• Perform source inspections as needed.

• Review, compile, and analyze information to prepare reports.

• Assist in defining and improving processes as part of a team.

• Investigate quality issues to identify root causes and ensure issues are addressed and resolved.

• Analyze all customer feedback for trends and continuous improvement.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Employees are required to wear company provided PPE as/when needed. PPEs may include safety shoes, safety glasses, face shields, FR clothing, cryogenic gloves, cryogenic apron, cut resistant gloves, safety gloves, hearing protection, hard hats & dust masks.

Education and Experience

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in business, computer science or engineering, or high school diploma and equivalent experience
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Skilled in Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving.
• Adequate experience in ISO 9001 Standard implementation and auditing process.

Hourly Salary

$24 - $32/hr
