Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct 2nd shift quality audits and inspections, analyze data, and implement quality management systems to meet industry standards from October thru March. During the months of April thru September, conducting Quality Assurance inspections in the production fields.
Responsibilities:
- Perform quality inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company policy and procedures
- Complete forms specific for each company and report findings
- Collaborate with teams to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as seed counters to verify seed size
- Create and maintain documentation of quality processes, procedures, and test results
- Train production staff on quality standards and procedures
-Travel and perform quality inspections in production fields during summer months
-Packaging samples for shipment to various labs
-Probing and weighing trucks
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work performed
- Basic computer knowledge with ability to learn various programs
- Multi-task in conducting quality audits and inspections
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends or patterns
- Ability to sample trucks with a remote grain probe
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes of issues
- Ability and desire to learn Quality Assurance principles, practices, and methodologies
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with customers and team members
