Overview
The CLIENT team in the Research Division is looking for a Quality Assurance Test Engineer with experience in Quality Assurance testing of a diverse portfolio of applications. As our QA Test Engineer, you will report to the CLIENT product owner and work with an agile team that values innovation, independence of views and a diverse and inclusive working environment.
As our QA Tester, you will provide application testing support by aiding in the resolution of problems, performing UI, application and system tests across a portfolio of applications. Additionally, you will work in agile team comprising experienced web developers, data engineers, product owners, scrum master and solutions architect to build applications to improve business efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities

• Provide testing support to our CLIENT and family products
• Ensure product quality through application of technical and testing skills
• Create test cases, complete manual test scripts and perform ad-hoc testing for requirement validation, acceptance criteria validation, integration, regression, performance, and usability testing
• Help write user stories with acceptance criteria that determine specific testable product functionality
• Perform and complete testing tasks for application releases (includes new development and testing of existing functionality)
• Support testing of application and environmental upgrades and resolution of production issues
• Provide solutions to our web developers when automated tests fail (e.g. supply new testing cases to replace in the automated testing suite).
• Create test documentation (e.g. standards, scripts)
• Work with web developers to automate tests that can be moved to CI
• Communicate test results

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a major or specialized courses in: Economics, Statistics, Finance, or Computer Science or similar field of study or commensurate experience
• 2 years' experience in software testing mostly as a Manual Quality Assurance Test Engineer
• Proficient in writing test scripts and test cases for requirement validation, integration, regression, performance, and usability testing and a combination of the following:
• Experience working with agile teams
• Familiarity with SQL
• Experience with tools such as GitLab and Selenium
• Knowledge of automated testing
• Understanding of 508 compliance testing and knowledge of usability testing
• This position is hybrid but open to a remote candidate. This is a 12 month contract.
