The Quality Assurance Specialist performs a broad variety of Quality Assurance functions for the company’s 14 CFR 135 Air Carrier and 14 CFR 145 Repair Station Operations. This position reports to the Director of Quality Assurance and will also have routine interaction with the Chief Inspector, Fleet Maintenance Control, and FAA Principal Inspectors.
Overview of major duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
- Administration of Air Carrier and Repair Station training programs including maintenance, course assignment, records, rosters and inspection authorization listings
- Evaluation and routine surveillance of 3rd party maintenance providers and Repair Station maintenance vendors including maintenance of associated databases.
- Creation and submission of SDR and M&D reports to the FAA
- Interaction with FAA Principal Inspectors as relates to Air Carrier and Repair Station routine surveillance and work program requirements;
- Administration of air carrier continuous analysis and surveillance system, SMS internal evaluation program and EASA QMS internal audits
- Serves as the central point of contact and facilitator for all 3rd party audits of Air Carrier and Repair Station operations
- Maintains company risk register and risk profile
- Assists with investigation and processing of company safety reports

Minimum Experience Requirements:
- FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant Ratings Required.
- Recent experience as a licensed maintainer of modern civil turbojet aircraft
- Prior experience in a Quality Assurance role preferred, but not required
Knowledge Requirements
- Broad understanding of 14 CFR as relates to Air Carrier and Repair Station operations
- High level of computer literacy.
