Quality Assurance RepresentativeSummary:
Responsible for inspecting and evaluating the construction of Lennar homes to ensure divisional consistency and compliance with quality standards, building codes, scopes of work and specifications. The goal is an exceptional customer experience by achieving a Zero-Defect Home at New Home Celebration.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, document and input and review the materials and quality of workmanship by evaluating homes assigned to you at each community on a regular basis.
- Complete follow-up inspections to sign-off and verify that documented defects, deviations, or non-compliance items have been completed.
- Conduct customer New Home Celebration and Acceptance Orientations on an as needed basis.
- Support and build formidable team relationships with Construction and Customer Care Departments to resolve quality issues promptly.
- Communicate with customers and other Lennar associates as needed to include giving updates, scheduling orientations, obtaining sign-offs and attend other meetings, as necessary.
- Review Division Reports for each community daily and help achieve the division standard in construction quality.
- Participate in meetings to discuss quality-related matters and provide input on project progress.
- Take photographs for training and evaluation purposes of excellent examples of good work and of areas for improvement.
- Evaluate all aspects of the Quality Assurance, Home Delivery and Zero-Defect Closing process.
- Perform and/or evaluate the Quality Check process on all communities or as directed and suggest potential improvements.
- Achieve continuous improvement in the customer satisfaction ratings as set forth by the division.
- Facilitate and participate in training within the division on an as needed basis.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- One (1) year of Construction or Quality Control, or Customer Service experience required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid and unrestricted Motor Vehicle License required
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented with construction knowledge
- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong Mobile Device and Application user skills
- Familiarity with construction software is a plus (BuildPro, Sales Force)
- Work experience following general departmental procedures
- Interact well with co-workers
- Comply with and implement company policies and procedures
- Accept constructive criticism for the benefit of continuous improvement
- Strong work ethic
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements:
Wear each day appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, hard hat, high visibility shirt or vest and protective footwear. Requires the ability to work more than eight hours per day in the confined quarters of an office and/or the field environment. Also requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry items up to fifty pounds. Must be able to see, speak and hear. Finger dexterity required to operate a computer keyboard, calculator, iPad, and iPhone. The ability to use inspection tools and equipment. Must be able to work safely in an outdoor construction environment under all weather conditions around hazardous chemicals, dust, and dirt. Office work requires sitting at a computer monitor for extended periods of time, completing paperwork and to receive/return phone messages. Standing required for inspecting, filing, and copying. Daily travel between communities required.
