Summary:
Inspect Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) in various stages of production and decipher between acceptable and nonconforming material based on customer and national specifications.
Qualifications/Skills:
· High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
· 2-3 years’ experience as a QA PCBA inspector preferred.
· IPC-A-610 certification history necessary.
Responsibilities:
· Use of Visual Optical Inspection Aids such as a Microscope and Ring light.
· Ability to comprehend customer prints, Bill of Materials, specifications, and work instructions.
· Verify all components for placement, polarity, lead prep, part marking, damage etc.
· Inspection of all solder terminations in regards to alloy, wetting, and volume.
· Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, multimeters, or micrometers.
· Record all inspection results and define any nonconforming issues.
· Notify supervisors of nonconforming issues, and assist in identifying and correcting issues.
· Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products, and recommend necessary corrective actions for continuous improvement opportunities.
· Comply with all ESD procedures
· Performs various other tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager.
· Must be willing and able to work overtime as required.
Work Environment:
The work environment is typical of a manufacturing setting where hazardous materials may be present. Security investigations may be conducted to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and/or work areas.
