- Experience in managing the Quality Assurance process for troubleshooting, evaluating, and preventing manufacturing and field/customer problems in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
- 3-5 years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment required.

As a Manager, Quality Assurance:
What you will do:
- Manage the process for troubleshooting, evaluating, and preventing manufacturing and field/customer problems.
- Reviews and implements engineering change orders and ensuring all MOSs, drawings, and ECOs are updated and preparing ECRs to correct any mistakes on MOSs or drawings.
- Implements inspection, testing and evaluation methods to ensure that products adhere closely to company standards and benchmarks.
- Evaluates and improves the production system by implementing standards for product quality.
- Trains and guides quality engineers in best practices in quality; work with inspectors to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
- Performs quality-engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
- Manages vendor quality standards for purchased products and components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor; review reject material, scrap, etc. to establish prevention systems and techniques.
- Interprets blueprints, drawings, sample models, or specifications to verify parts meet Hunter standards for quality.
- Collaborate with management team to set quality benchmarks and communicate issues and recommend process improvements when needed; develop new approach for problem-solving of Quality Assurance issues.
- Prepares and presents technical and quality program information and documents to team members and management; maintain data collection into proprietary systems for Quality Assurance program.
- Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry Quality Assurance codes and standards.
Additional Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
- 3-5 years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- ASQ Certification is highly desirable.
- Experience in root cause analysis methodologies and ability to lead team using processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with multiple levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a positive attitude and a high degree of initiative
