Job Functions:
Quality: Responsible for designing and implementing continuous improvement in the quality system. Coordinate and track performance of inspected parts, components and materials produced by subcontractors and provide historical data regarding performance of parts to engineering personnel. Determine why malfunctions are occurring in any defective parts. Review quality problems with engineering personnel and direct action required to correct defects.
Receiving: Responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of all incoming shipments and products, ensuring that all items are received, stored, and distributed in an organized and timely manner.

Other Job Duties:
Quality Department:
- Establish programs for data collection and analysis.
- Direct sampling inspection, and testing of received parts, components, and materials to determine conformance to Haws standards.
- Review quality inspection results to determine vendor control and capability (using SPC) of their manufacturing process. Generate vendor quality reports.
- Setup and program metrology equipment in QA lab, including CMM programming and optical comparator setup. Ensure the calibration of equipment company wide. Evaluate new inspection equipment for QA lab.
- Conduct periodic and special surveys of subcontractors' facilities and manufacturing processes to determine adequacy and capability of quality control and ability to comply with complete quality specifications.
- Prepare periodic and special reports concerning departmental activities, problems, subcontractor's quality system, schedules, and rejected items.
Receiving Department:
- Manage all receiving operations, including unloading and sorting deliveries.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize receiving processes.
- Ensure that all incoming shipments are accurately and promptly processed.
- Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment.
- Identify and resolve receiving and inventory discrepancies.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and accurate operations.
- Aid in organizational planning by participating in departmental meetings.
- All other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in the Quality Assuranceand Receiving Departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Work Environment:
The job duties described above are mainly performed within an office environment and on the shop manufacturing floor, which contains various environmental conditions such as exposure to industrial machinery, dust/metallic particles, and noise

Education and/or Experience:
Associate Degree with three five years' experience; or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Machinist background helpful.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of manufacturing software; This includes Excel, Word, Outlook, CMM programming software (Cam2-Q, or PC DMIS)
Mechanical Skills
Familiarity with metrology equipment such as coordinate measuring machines, optical comparator, height gages, micrometer, calipers, ring and plug gages.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, engineers, customers and other employees.
