JOB SUMMARY:

As a QA Engineer at Miles, your role is pivotal in shaping the travel industry through rigorous testing and Quality Assurance of digital products. In this fast-paced environment, you will create and maintain comprehensive test plans, execute manual and automated tests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product excellence. Your proficiency in modern QA methodologies, automation frameworks, and tools like CI/CD pipelines and content management systems, combined with your ability to mentor and lead, will significantly contribute to Miles' vision of being a global leader in travel-focused digital innovation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executing manual tests to identify defects in a range of web-based digital products, particularly those using Drupal/Wordpress.
  • Documenting and reporting defects thoroughly, and tracking their resolution.
  • Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and resolve issues, while tracking defect resolutions.
  • Experience working with automated testing solutions that have integration points within CI/CD pipelines for improved QA productivity.
  • Working collaboratively with team members, embracing multiple approaches to problem-solving, and supporting resolution coaching.
  • Act as a resource and mentor within the team, staying informed about new QA technologies and methodologies.
  • Understanding the goals of the digital products and engineering team, and being a key contributor to achieving these goals through peer mentoring and clear communication of deliverables.
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance of test plans and scripts with standards like ARIA, WCAG, and Section 508.
  • Contribute actively to the team's success, fostering an environment focused on client satisfaction and continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of QA coordination experience with offshore teams (in different time zones)
  • 2+ years of experience as a technical Quality Assurance Engineer with hands-on experience in developing both manual and automated tests.
  • 2+ years of experience in cross-functional teams within an agency.
  • Good understanding of test automation framework design.
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of QA methodologies (theory and hands-on), QA architecture, procedures, tools, documentation, as well as real world experience with providing guidance as to which QA practices are best suited in different situations.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
  • Familiarity with content management systems (e.g. Drupal, Wordpress, Sitecore, AEM)
  • Familiarity with design systems and visual testing solutions (e.g. Storybook, Chromatic)
  • Working knowledge of applicable cross functional team collaboration tools: Wrike, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
  • Responds positively and constructively to client and peer feedback.
  • Ability to automate testing across browsers and devices
  • Well organized and able to prioritize own workload and meet deadlines
