CARR Quality Assurance Engineer (full-time in office, Clearwater, FL, reports to Dir., Supply Chain & Quality Assurance)
What you'll do:
Internal Quality Performance:
Create and implement processes to integrate a preventative Quality Assurance approach through CARR's operations.
Engage key stakeholders in other departments to identify and address areas of process and/or product weakness that could expose CARR and CARR's customers to the risk of failure and the possible loss of production in their operations.
Implement intermediate assembly process checks to prevent quality defects from progressing through operations and affecting final completion and/or escaping CARR and reaching CARR's customers.
Ensure that ISO procedures and SOPs are comprehensive and well-documented.
Ensure that ISO procedures and SOPs are being followed via training records as well as periodic internal audits.
Key Performance Indicators:
Provide and maintain monthly KPIs for the Quality Assurance function and help automate them wherever possible.
Documentation:
Create/complete/review required documentation along with current documentation team members (as needed) with the goal of reducing/eliminating the backlog of incomplete documents.
Create/complete/review required documentation along with current documentation team members (as needed) to ensure that current equipment and consumable orders are shipped with documentation and shipments are not delayed by the lack of documentation.
Actively support the transition to streamlined documentation/processes for a standard modular product offering.
Proactively resolve and, where needed, escalate issues that could cause potential delays in completing documents in time to meet customer needs/commitments.
Complaint Tracking, Handling, and Resolution:
Support root cause/corrective action process to resolve customer complaints and CAPAs in a timely manner with the goal of reducing the current backlog and keeping us current going forward.
Help identify opportunities to improve customer experience relative to quality related issues.
New Product Innovation Support:
Contribute to new product development/innovation efforts by supporting/promoting Quality by Design.
Develop Validation Master Plans (VMPs).
Support required testing activities.
Work on projects as assigned by your leader.
Experience/skills most likely to have prepared you for this role:
A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field is required ASQ Certification is a plus 4+ years of relevant experience Ability to collect and analyze data and draw and present conclusions Strong problem-solving skills Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820 Experience in regulated manufacturing environments Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team with all levels of leadership, including company leaders, business leaders, and across the various company functions and teams to provide relevant, insightful information Strong communicator (verbal/written) that presents complex material in a concise, compelling, and positive way Professional demeanor with a strong work ethic

ADA Requirements:
  • Typically sits, grasps items, and performs keyboarding for the regular operation of a computer.
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, or move about regularly.
  • Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
  • Occasional exposure to typical manufacturing production physical hazards.
