SUMMARY: Provide Quality Assurance support through procedural and functional coordination of corporate Quality policies and coordinate with Juarez Quality Manager to provide ISO support at the Butterfield location. This position will participate in the elimination and reduction of the costs associated with receiving of defective material due to packing issues and transportation damages of all material received at the Butterfield location is the primary goal of this position. Working in a self motivated team oriented environment, the position interfaces with internal and external customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)
  • Inspect materials and finished goods for damages due to transit, poor packing and internal handling.
  • Collect and document evidence of all damages including physical samples, pictures and written documentation.
  • Generate OS&D reports.
  • Generate RN's as required.
  • Identify, document and purge all obsolete material.
  • Generate and distribute all department required reports.
  • Support RTV function through documentation of materials and preparation of same for return to vendor.
  • Communicate with appropriate departments regarding disposition of materials.
  • Audit the finished good shipping process to comply with customer request and demands.
  • Audit the Receiving process to ensure the site complies with corporate receiving process.
  • Audit and assure raw material and finished goods are stored under the established Quality criteria.
  • Assure that any new product to be furnished to a customer complies with Corporate Quality requirements.
  • Site's main contact and coordinates with Juarez Quality Department to prepare and implement ISO requirements
  • Follow up on site's CAR and documents corrective actions
  • Responsible to maintain site's training records and matrix with NW
  • Coordinate with site's management to updates BF's procedures and flow charts
  • Actively participate in Safety Committee
  • Flexibility to travel into Juarez, Mexico
  • Other project assign by management

OTHER FUNCTIONS
  • As and business dictates this position will provide other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • College degree and three or more years experience within a warehouse environment and Quality experience.
  • Must be bi-lingual and have the ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write routine and non-routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to managers, customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages and ability to apply basic statistics.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to operate a computer and use database, word processing, spreadsheet and MRP software.
  • Must be highly organized and pay great attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle and maintain a high degree of responsibility and confidentiality at all times.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Conversational Spanish would be a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate except when duties require entering the warehouse areas where noise and temperature extremes are common.
