JobSummary: TheQuality Assurance and Infection Preventionist Nurse applies knowledge andexperience by offering guidance pertaining to infection control, skinassessments, safety and resident rights, training, education, etc. Assists with development, implementation andmodification of policies and procedures. Conducts system reviews, audits, datacollection and creates reports to ensure compliance with federal and state lawsand regulations. Leads and participatesin QAPI (Quality Assurance Process Improvement) program, taking a proactiveapproach to quality care and services with engagement of residents, familymembers and staff. Reviews unresolvedissues/concerns and any other areas that remain out of compliance from priormeetings to develop a timeframe for correction.
Qualifications:
- Must hold current Registered Nurse (RN) with applicable state, without restrictions, and/or ability to obtain state specific license.
- Infection Preventionist Certification; if not currently obtained, must be obtained within first six months of employment.
- Demonstrates leadership ability.
- Must be capable of performing the Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
