Job Description – Quality Assurance Specialist
Reports to: Director of Operations
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for developing, planning, and directing quality activities in support of Fast-Trans Quality Assurance operations and goals, ensuring that company standards are achieved and maintained and maintained with a targeted emphasis on continuous improvement, providing support, structure and documented formalized training for employees within the organization in all areas. Ensuring implementation and compliance with Chapter 77 and 78 waiver regulations. The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist must be a skilled communicator who is able to convey information, ideas, and policy to all levels within the organization.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Address and discuss issues and proposed solutions with superiors.
- Make recommendations for improvement.
- Remain current with Chapter 77 and Chapter 78 requirements.
- Coordinate staff meetings, in-person trainings, and workshops as appropriate.
- Assists with developing and implementing the organization's quality improvement plan in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the organization, federal and state laws, regulations, and accreditation standards based on Fast-Trans needs.
- Develops, assists, and monitors systems, and procedures for the identification, collection, and analysis of the performance of quality measurement data.
- Create audit reports
- Participate in the orientation of new staff members
- Facilitate and/or create training materials.
- Educate and train employees as to the quality improvement plan, and their respective responsibilities.
- Establish and/or revise existing Fast-Trans policies and procedures necessary for successful implementation.
- Ensure that documentation meets all requirements.
- Monitor and ensure that staff service documentation is completed correctly and turned in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with House-Lead for disciplinary action related to service documentation.
- Work closely with managers to ensure staff are working in compliance with internal policies and procedures, external client expectations, and Chapter 77 and 78 regulations.
- Audit employee files.
- Other duties as necessary or as assigned.
