Qualified Mental Health Professional-Adult (QMHP-A) & Qualified Mental Health Professional-Children (QMHP-C)
Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ Mental Health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide direct clinical services to adults or children and adolescents, including individual and group therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and implement treatment plans, ensuring continuity of care.
• Monitor clients’ progress and adjust treatment interventions as necessary to promote positive outcomes.
• Conduct crisis assessments and provide crisis intervention services as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide psychoeducation and support to clients’ families and caregivers to enhance understanding and involvement in the treatment process.
• Stay informed about best practices, evidence-based interventions, and current trends in the field of Mental Health to continually improve service delivery.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related human services field.
• Relevant licensure or certification as a QMHP-A or QMHP-C in the state of Virginia.
• Experience working with adults or children and adolescents with Mental Health issues in a clinical setting.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in accordance with professional guidelines and regulations.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other relevant software applications.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to accommodate client needs.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education in the field of Mental Health.
