Job Position: QC/QA Technician (Full Time Position)
Position Overview:
- The quality assurance/quality control technician will evaluate, maintain the company’s quality programs.
- The tech will be responsible to conduct QA audits within the manufacturing facility and inspect for the GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs compliance and evaluate incoming, in-process and finished goods to ensure strict adherence to internal and customer specifications regarding quality and safety.
- Responsible for monitoring all processes within the operation such as receiving, cooking, mixing, assembling, packaging, labeling, and shipping for adherence to internal and regulatory requirements.
- Have familiarity with SQF Fundamentals and implementation is preferred.

- Would prefer someone local within driving distance please no out of state candidates.
- Conduct pre-op on the lines for cleanliness of equipment and surrounding area and complete pre-op documentation.
- Perform Sanitation cleaning verifications and sanitation pre-operational inspections
- Monitors carriers, ingredients and packaging materials.
- Maintain and oversee adherence to SOPs and specifications.
- Conduct and facilitate daily quality audit check lists.
- Monitor code dates to assure proper dates are being used.
- Monitor the efficacy of the facility cleaning and sanitation program.
- Perform temperature measurement and monitoring in manufacturing.
- Manage the facility pest control program.
- Support the QA/QC department and production operations to maintain high standards of quality.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records.
- Performs or assists with additional duties as assigned by QA management.
- Adhere to all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), such as good hand washing practices and adhering to the employee hygiene plan.
- Follow all USDA guidelines.
- Report any issues regarding food safety or quality to supervision and/or quality assurance.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Some computer skills and capability.
- Personable and able to mix well with employees.
- Knowledge of HACCP, SSOP and GMP.
- Communicate effectively during shift change.
- Able to work in a refrigerated environment at length.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to walk and stand for a long period of time.
- 1st shift - Hours may vary depending on workload
- Must be able to work extended hours and Saturdays.
- Food Manufacturing: 1- 2 years (Required)
