Position Summary
QA Technician - Level 1 is an entry level QA position. The position will conduct inspections and record results on product and facilities.
Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Crider, Foods requires all employees to comply with and support all Food Safety and Quality policies, programs and procedures to insure our products meet and exceed consumers' expectation.
- Performing measurement and weight control checks.
- Performing equipment inspections
- Performing incoming raw material inspections
- Check instruments such as temperature gauges at regular intervals.
- Making sure that machines are kept clean at all times.
- Inspection of product labels, MSDS and safe use of chemicals.
- Recording and maintaining accurate and detail records.
- Ensuring GMP's are being properly followed.
- All other duties as assigned.
- (In case of absence of key personnel, the job will be filled by a trained employee)

- Successfully pass QA Proficiency Exam.

General Purpose
Quality Assurance is a process which requires specific knowledge and skill. Quality Assurance Technicians work across all sectors of manufacturing and are responsible for carrying out checks on products and processes to ensure they meet predetermined quality standards.
Preferred Relevant Skills and Experience
- College education preferred. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Lifting occasionally of up to 50 pounds is required. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level at work is usually moderate to loud.
- Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule, which could include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
