Manufacturing Quality Lab Technician
Position: Manufacturing Quality Lab Technician (Min. $20.25).
Reports to: QA Manager.
Pay Level: Hourly.
Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Desired.

Position Summary:
Participate in programs to sustain compliance with Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality requirements. Responsible for product tests, audits and calibrations. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of SQR and our Customer 1st strategy. Provide leadership that embodies our 7 Kroger Manufacturing High-Performance Work System principles. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain timely arrival and attendance for scheduled shift.
- Perform required product tests, audits and calibrations to ensure food safety and ensure consistent quality.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
- Complete tasks on "If down, do" lists.
- Complete safety observations as assigned.
- Keep the work area neat and clean.
- Ability to work overtime.
- Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
- Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems.
- Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
- Maintain positive, professional interaction with team members.
- Adapt own behavior and efforts in response to changing team requirements or circumstances.
- Actively participate in team meetings and discussions.
- Ask questions to clarify, obtain key information, and challenge the ideas of others.
- Provide active support to any team member when needed to maintain operations.
- Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
Minimum Position Qualifications/Education:
- Able to 10 to 12-hour shifts throughout the week.
- Able to climb, walk, bend, kneel and reach during shift.
- Capable of standing for long periods of time.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Maintain eyes on the task at all times.
- Willing to work overtime when necessary.
- Must be able to work around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens.
- Must demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.
- Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Effective problem-solving ability.
- Active listening skills.
- Effective oral/written communication skills.
- Positive, approachable demeanor.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and readily adapt to change.
- Basic math and computer skills.

Working Conditions:
- Uniforms are provided and expected to be worn.
- We have more manual processes compared to some manufacturing facilities.
- Some work area temperatures are hot/cold based on the outside temperature.
- This is a wet facility.
