Job Description
- As a QA Onsite Lead you will be working within our middle office space. You will be part of scrum team where in you will work with product, dev and scrum partners to understand the requirements, participate in planning, build test plans, test cases , work with offshore and deliver projects successfully
As this position demands online trading domain expertise, you will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise and assist offshore team with domain specific guidance. execution. You will be implementing test strategies, monitor executions and reporting. You will act as a key liaison between product, development and QA teams.
We are an Agile organization. You will work as part of a Scrum team that brings together development, QA, Product and Project management. We usually run 1-3-week sprints and strive to achieve better each time.
Responsibilities:
- API testing: Study APIs implementation , perform impact analysis and provide guidance to QA teams to come up with a comprehensive test coverage
- Understand the contract between and web and backend layers and do the release planning accordingly by coordinating with development and Project managers (Scrum Team) Identifying automation scope and working with automation team to prioritize the tasks and deliver in sprint automation.
- Building API test strategy and reporting solutions.
- Test Management Test planning / Test execution and Reporting Creating and implementing test strategy
- Be responsible for working with automation horizontal to bring in in-sprint automation.
- Transforming manual regression suite into automation suite by collaborating with automation team.
- Prioritizing scope for automation teams based on current and future strategic projects
Requirements:
- 5+ Years of total experience, 3+ years of hands on experience with testing APIs (xml / JSON / SOAP , REST)
- Any one API testing tool hands on experience
- 2+ years of hands on experience with agile methodologies
- 2+ years of hands on JIRA / Confluence experience.
- XRAY knowledge is a plus.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with writing and testing APIs
- 3+ years of experience in testing methodologies, experience with standard QA and development tools, and the ability to operate within short release cycles
- Sound working knowledge of Change Management processes
- Capital markets domain experience.
- Agile certification
