Position: QUALITY INSPECTOR, LAMINATION DEPARTMENT

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Quality Inspector, Lamination Department is responsible for performing incoming material inspections and testing, conducting in-process inspections and testing, completion of daily inspection records, and the reviewing/updating of shop floor documentation. Position requires the use of data collected from inspections and testing procedures to highlight quality issues.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. Essential to functions and duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform incoming inspection activities as specified by the QA procedures and work instructions.
- Ensuring product conforms to the required quality standards.
- Determining the quality status of quarantined and/or re-worked product.
- Ensuring that quarantine processes are followed by warehouse personnel.
- Identifying product problems and participate in problem solving workshops.
- Conduct product dimensional studies using calipers, gauges, and other measuring test equipment.
- Completing all required daily inspection records.
- Reporting environmental or safety concerns observed.
- Maintain the work area to 5S standards.
- Performs a variety of miscellaneous job duties, as directed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Proficient skills in reading, writing, and speaking in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent written and oral communications skills and techniques.
- Basic math skills

- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to train in conducting system and product audits.
- Ability to identify non-conforming products and interpretation of quality standard training guides.

SELECTION GUIDELINES
The appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position are achievable through the following combination of education, work experience and training:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate; and
- Experience with the use of measuring test equipment; and
- Two (2) or more years of work experience in a fast-paced QC work environment; or
- Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
The essential functions of his job require the employee to perform the following physical activities during work:
- Communicates orally with management, employees, co-workers, vendors, suppliers, and the public by telephone or in person, in one-on-one or group settings.
- Required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time during work shift.
- Routinely required to stoop, bend, kneel, lift, and reach, in the performance of job function.
- Requires the essential use of hands, speech, eyesight, and hearing.
- Lifting limitations: 25-50 lbs.
- Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus as needed.
- Noise level for this work environment is typically medium to high.

Pay range of $18 - $20 based on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
