Engineer - Skill Bucket 2 - Quality Assurance, Python-Selenium, TOSCA (5+ years).
Client is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to be a key player in planning, preparation and execution of tests for web-based applications/systems. This role requires a technologist, who works effectively, both independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment. The candidate must be a delivery-focused person with solid financial applications experience and skills. The candidate will create and execute test cases, automation of tests, gather test metrics, execute deployments in the QA environment, co-ordinate production deployments and release planning.
The responsibilities also include:
Evaluate requirements and define testing objectives and approaches; manage testing tools and environments, test preparation, execution, and automation.
Continuous review and improvement of the testing and quality assurance methodologies and measurement of these processes.
Coordinate with onshore and offshore QA teams.
Participates in operational readiness review including pre- and post- implementation to ensure a successful business system solution for the client.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience or certification.
5+ years experience in quality assurance.
3+ testing method/testing tool/programming languages/technology environments.
Demonstrated skill to proactively resolve issues and escalate appropriately.
Experience in supporting all quality assurance tasks in the software engineering process. Demonstrated experience in test automation (scripting, onboarding to pipeline and maintenance) with Python and Selenium based automation framework.
Demonstrated experience with SQL required.
Demonstrated experience with testing APIs and Web Services.
Demonstrates strong analytical skills, technical ability and time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to Lead local and international teams.
TOSCA automation experience preferred
Detail-oriented, organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with release testing, sign-off and deployment methods.
Experience in multi-asset class, market data and analytical data preferred.
