We're looking for a QA Engineer to join the Business Solutions team at Barton Associate. The Business solutions department is responsible for automating business processes across various systems managed at Barton. As a QA Engineer you will play an important role in ensuring that software features released to production are defect free.
The Team
This person will work alongside other QA Engineers, Business Analysts & Developers and will temporarily report to the CIO. The QA Engineer will be developing, documenting and executing detailed test plans and procedures. Strong attention to detail is a must!

Responsibilities
- Work with the Business Analysts and Developers to understand the requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria and translate them into test scenarios and functional test cases
- Create Test Plans and review with key project stakeholders within the organization
- Perform manual functional, system and integration tests and execute manual and automated test scripts for new and existing applications
- Find, track and prioritize bugs and drive towards their resolution
- Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing project team with sufficient detail to understand, replicate and resolve the defect
- Participate in agile working practices such as daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, backlog grooming and retrospectives
- Perform production verification
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Proficient with Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on deadlines and business objective
