Qa Automation Engineer

** This is a 6+ month contract opportunity where you'll work with our client on a contract basis (both W2 and 1099 options are available). This position is fully remote. Candidates must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.**

The role ensures the quality of designated products and their releases, ensuring that software meets or exceeds established quality standards within the company's delivery schedule. This position involves both manual and automated testing, including the creation and execution of test cases, defect identification, documentation, and collaboration with the Development team to address software deficiencies throughout testing cycles. Proficiency in developing automated tests using Selenium and the Ranorex Automation Framework is crucial to ensure thorough test coverage across all functionality, performance, and user experience aspects before release.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed manual and automated test plans and cases to uphold software quality standards.
• Create, maintain, and execute automation scripts utilizing Selenium and Ranorex Automation Framework.
• Identify, replicate, and accurately report defects to the development team for resolution, leveraging insights from manual and automated testing.
• Participate in sprint review meetings to review functional and design specifications, ensuring software compliance and defining automation testing scope.
• Communicate test findings, progress, and quality metrics effectively to stakeholders using advanced reporting tools.
• Collaborate with the team to refine the software testing process, emphasizing automated testing strategies for enhanced efficiency and coverage.
• Manage and update the automated test suite to maintain relevance and alignment with current software functionalities.
• Maintain consistent attendance and follow through on supervision and direction.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant QA experience, with 2-3 years dedicated to automation testing.
• Expertise in designing and implementing automated testing solutions using Selenium and Ranorex. (willing to train on Ranorex, but not Selenium.)
• Must have experience writing test scripts using C#.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively conveying issues to stakeholders and development teams, particularly regarding automated testing results.
• Proficiency in task prioritization, meeting deadlines, and time management in a dynamic work environment.
• Familiarity with common QA tools and platforms, preferably with experience in open-source solutions.
• Proficient in issue tracking software, particularly Jira.
• Solid understanding of software quality assurance practices, testing methodologies, and automated testing principles.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment, collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a critical approach to software behavior and testing strategies.
• Attention to detail and a dedication to software quality, demonstrated through comprehensive testing and validation practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
